WHO ARE FCS?

FCS is a fully integrated Occupational Health & Safety Consultancy and Training Provider based in the heart of Rugby, Warwickshire.

Who would you prefer to be advising you – a person who’s only ever seen the inside of a classroom, or someone with genuine experience of working in companies at different levels, dealing with real people and coming up against the challenges business owners, managers and workers face on a daily basis?

At First Class Safety, we are a consultancy run by people with real world experience.  We’ve studied for our qualifications and accreditations, so we can claim to be experts in our field – but our feet remain very much on the ground.

We are accredited and approved by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), an approved training provider for National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) and the Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register (ITSSAR). We’re also registered with OSHCR, the UK Warehouse Association (UKWA) and Highfield ABC.

How well is your business complying with best practice and legal obligations? Are your staff being trained in a cost-effective and productive way?

The Founder

Managing Director Ian Cook has been involved in health and safety since the mid-1990s, when he trained to become a forklift instructor. Ian then developed his skills as a trainer further by studying for an attaining PTLLS qualifications.

Ian became more and more interested in health and safety and studied for his Diploma to achieve CMISOH chartered status, meaning he could become a registered health and safety consultant. In 2009 he established First Class Safety Ltd as an independent business.

He’s a strong believer that good health and safety practices, applied sensibly, do not have to be a burden to business and actually bring real benefits by safeguarding everyone, reducing the chances of accidents and time lost due to illness and protecting companies from litigation.
