Course Aim
To equip participants with the skills and understanding required to correctly select, inspect, and use safety harnesses and associated equipment to minimize the risk of falls from height.
Our Safe Use of Harness Training Course is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to safely work at height using personal fall protection equipment, such as safety harnesses. The course focuses on hazard identification, correct harness usage, and adherence to workplace safety regulations to minimize the risk of falls and ensure the safety of workers.
The key components covered in our course include:
•Employer’s and employee’s legal responsibilities
•MEWPs and harnesses
•Hierarchy of measures for hazard avoidance
•Choice of harness and lanyard
•Harness Testing by the manufacturer
•Pre-use checks and the correct use of harnesses
•Safe working loads and limitations
•Rescue situations
•Record keeping
•Candidates will take a short-written test and practical assessment.
This course is ideal for workers operating at height, construction and maintenance personnel, scaffolders, roofers, , supervisors and safety officers responsible for fall protection compliance
Delegates will be awarded a First Class Safety certificate of attendance on successful completion of assessment.
It is recommended that this be refreshed annually.
