Course Aim

The General National Certificate is aimed at individuals who need to gain a broad understanding of health and safety issues in the workplace. It covers various topics such as risk assessment, hazard identification, control measures, and legal requirements related to health and safety. This certificate is often pursued by professionals working in a wide range of industries to enhance their knowledge and skills in managing health and safety effectively within their organisations.

Course Description

The course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices, enabling them to contribute effectively to the management of workplace risks.

First Class Safety Health and Safety Training Academy, Swift House, Cosford Lane, Swift Valley Industrial Estate, Rugby, CV21 1QN Or Customer’s Premises

Duration

We offer two options for our NEBOSH General National Certificate Courses:
1. Two week block course.
2. One day a week for ten weeks.

Total course length between 80 – 120 hours.

Certification

The NEBOSH General National Certificate awards successful candidates with a recognized qualification. Upon completing the course and passing the assessments, participants receive the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. This certificate is widely recognised and respected by employers globally and serves as evidence of the candidate’s knowledge and competence in health and safety management.

What is included in the cost?

Our NEBOSH General National Certificate Course costs £1,450.00 + VAT Per Candidate. Included within this cost you’ll receive:

-NG1 and NG2 Examination Registration (Examination resit costs are charged separately).

-Unit NG1: Management of Health and Safety Workbook.

-Unit NG2: Risk Assessment Workbook.

-In person face-to-face training to enable you to collaborate, interact and discuss knowledge and viewpoints with other candidates from a wide range of industries.

– Support from experienced instructors providing first-hand knowledge and years of experience within the health and safety industry.

-Refreshments and snacks on each day of training.

This cost does not include NG1 and NG2 examination resit costs. These are charged separately at £89.00 Per Exam

Course Examination

The NEBOSH General Certificate course  consists of two assessments:

  1. NG1: Management of Health and Safety: This unit covers the foundations of health and safety management systems, including legal requirements, risk assessment, and control measures. The assessment comprises one open book written examination. This will be scenario based and will include a closing interview within which you will be asked about your submission.
  2. NG2: Risk Assessment: This is a practical assessment and in this unit, candidates are required to complete a practical risk assessment to develop an action plan for their workplace.

Both assessments must be successfully completed to achieve the NEBOSH General Certificate qualification.
